SAIFCA Represented at the International Association for Safe & Ethical AI Paris Conference

SAIFCA is proud to announce that we were represented at the inaugural conference of the International Association for Safe and Ethical AI (IASEAI) in Paris by our Director, Tara Steele. Held on 6-7 February at the OECD La Muette Headquarters, this prestigious event brought together leading figures from academia, civil society, industry, and government to discuss critical developments in AI safety and ethics.

As an invited attendee, Tara had the opportunity to engage with world-renowned experts shaping the future of AI governance. The conference explored global coordination on AI risks, the impact of advanced AI on society, and strategies for ensuring AI technologies remain aligned with human values.

The event was strategically scheduled ahead of the Paris AI Action Summit, taking place on 10-11 February at the Grand Palais. This high-level summit convened heads of state, policymakers, and AI leaders, with the stated aim to "collectively establish scientific foundations, solutions and standards for more sustainable AI working for collective progress and in the public interest."

SAIFCA’s presence at these discussions reinforces our commitment to advocating for the safe and responsible use of AI, particularly in protecting children from its risks. The insights gained from the conference will inform our ongoing efforts to shape policies and public awareness around AI safety.
